Akkal is the independent software practice of Meetraj Vora. This notice explains what happens when you visit this website or contact me through it.

Website analytics

This site uses a self-hosted instance of Umami to understand whether pages and campaigns are useful. It records page views, referring sites, campaign parameters, broad device and browser information, approximate location and clicks on the email calls to action.

Umami does not use cookies, fingerprint you or store your IP address. The IP address is processed briefly to derive anonymous session and location information. The tracker also honours your browser’s Do Not Track setting. Analytics data stays on infrastructure controlled by Akkal and is not used for advertising profiles or sold to anyone.

When you email me

If you choose to email, I receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. I use it to reply, assess the proposed work and, if we work together, manage the project and meet legal or accounting obligations. Email is handled by the providers used by you and by Akkal.

Retention and your choices

I keep correspondence and project records only for as long as they are useful for the enquiry, the working relationship or a legal obligation. Anonymous website analytics are retained while they remain useful for understanding the site and its campaigns.
